ELECTION DAY for the Summer Village of South View is SATURDAY, DECEMBER 16, 2023 at the Darwell Seniors Center, located at 54225 Hwy 765, Darwell, Alberta. Voting will take place between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. If you have already sent in a special ballot, you are NOT eligible to vote in person.
To be eligible to vote in this election, you must be:
At least 18 years old, and
A Canadian citizen, and
Reside in the Summer Village of South View, or
Be named on the certificate of title as the person who owns property within South View, or
Be the spouse or adult interdependent partner of a person who is on the certificate of title as the person who owns property within South View.
Please note: It is an offence under Section 148 of the Local Authorities Election Act to vote in an election where you are not eligible. Any person who votes, knowing they are ineligible, could be fined up to $10,000 or face imprisonment of not more than 6 months.
